Healthy Hot Chocolate (kid-friendly, paleo, dairy-free)

hotchocolate.jpg

Hot chocolate can be so much more than what’s offered in the packaged products on grocery shelves. This recipe is an ode to the youngins in my life. I created it to make sure they they receive nutrition while enjoying their favorite beverage. It’s brain-boosting, calmly energizing, and definitely “kid-approved”!

This hot chocolate is DECADENT. It’s rich, creamy, chocolatey, and it’s one you can serve with confidence. It’s fully balanced with carbs, fats, protein, provides gut healing compounds, and is rich in omega-3s for keeping inflammation at bay. The coconut milk and oil provides fast-acting fuel for the brain as a great way to start you and your kiddo’s day!

Health Tip - When choosing coconut milk, be sure to go for the least refined, least processed prodcut available. Choose BPA-free canned coconut milk without any added gums. My personal favorite is Native Forest Simple.
